Domus Picturae is delighted to announce its participation in Art New York 2025, one of the leading contemporary and modern art fairs in the United States. The gallery will present a curated selection of works in a dedicated booth, showcasing pieces by artists from its programme including Sophie Laurent, James Park, Yuki Tanaka and others.
The gallery's presentation at Art New York marks an important milestone in its first year of operation. "Participating in Art New York allows us to share our artists' work with an international audience of collectors and curators," says gallery director Elena Marchetti. "We've carefully selected works that represent the diversity and quality of our programme, from intimate portraits to large-scale installations."
The booth design, created in collaboration with architect Sarah Mitchell, features a flexible layout that allows visitors to experience works in different contexts. Sophie Laurent's recent portraits will be displayed in a dedicated area that mimics the intimate viewing conditions of the gallery, while James Park's sculptural works will be presented in a more open configuration that emphasises their relationship to space.
Yuki Tanaka's mixed-media installations, which incorporate both digital and traditional elements, will be featured prominently, demonstrating the gallery's commitment to artists working at the intersection of technology and traditional craft. "Tanaka's work is particularly relevant in today's context," Marchetti notes. "It addresses our relationship with digital technology while maintaining a deep respect for materiality and handcraft."
In addition to works by established artists, the booth will include pieces by Isabella Rodriguez and Luca Moretti, both of whom joined the gallery's programme in early 2025. Rodriguez's abstract paintings explore themes of migration and displacement, while Moretti's work investigates the relationship between architecture and memory.
The fair presentation will also feature a special project: a site-specific installation by Marcus Weber created specifically for Art New York. The work, titled "Temporal Layers", will be installed in the booth's central area and will incorporate elements that respond to the fair's environment, creating a dialogue between the work and its temporary context.
Art New York 2025 takes place from September 18–22 at Pier 94, New York. Domus Picturae will be located in Hall 1, Booth A12. In addition to the works on view, Elena Marchetti will take part in a panel discussion on "The Future of Contemporary Art Collecting" on September 20.
